WHAT GOD WANTS FROM YOU Pt2
Day 6
II. HE WANTS OUR LOVE
A. That fact has always amazed me
1. Why would omnipotent God want a puny human's love?
2. I'm not alone in my amazement!
a. Psalms 8:3-5- "When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, {4} What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? {5} For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor."
B. He wants our undivided, unreserved love!
1. Deuteronomy 6:5- ""You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength."
2. Matthew 22:37- "Jesus said to him, " 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'"

Gracious God,
Thank you for the gift of today.
Refresh me. Invite me to discover your presence
In each person that I meet
And every event that I encounter.
Teach me when to speak and when to listen
When to ponder and when to share.
In moments of challenge and decision
Attune my heart to the whisperings of your Wisdom.
As I undertake ordinary and unnoticed tasks,
Gift me with simple joy.
When my day goes well, may I rejoice.
When it grows difficult, surprise me with
New possibilities.
When life is overwhelming, call me to
Memorable moments
To restore your Peace and Harmony.
May my living today reveal your Goodness
Thank you for the gift of today.

WHAT GOD WANTS FROM US Pt1
REMEMBER NOW ITS ONLY 3 CHAPTERS PER DAY & AS YOU EAT FOOD FOR THE BODY ITS EVEN BETTER WHEN YOU EAT FOOD FOR YOUR SOUL SO EAT IT UP OK
DAY 5
NOW; WHAT DOES GOD WANTS FROM YOU? Pt.1.
Micah 6:6-8
Apparently, people have always needed to know what God wants from them. It's true that He has revealed what He wants ... and expects. But people have attempted life on their own terms, and what God wants of them gets "lost" in the darkness of human wisdom and striving. Then comes another reminder (sometimes in a deafening or dreadful way) of what God wants of us. My purpose this morning is simple: I want to think about this matter of what God wants from us.
FIRSTLY HE WANTS OUR ATTENTION.
A. People forget God!
1. Deuteronomy 8:11-14,17 - ""Beware that you do not forget the LORD your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today, {12} "lest; when you have eaten and are full, and have built beautiful houses and dwell in them; {13} "and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold are multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied; {14} "when your heart is lifted up, and you forget
the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage....then you say in your heart, 'My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.'"
2. Psalms 50:22- ""Now consider this, you who forget God, Lest I tear you in pieces, And there be none to deliver:"
3. Perhaps they remember His name, His existence: but in practice in fact they forget Him. Deuteronomy 8:11- ""Beware that you do not forget the LORD your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today,"
B. Listen to God!
1. Matthew 4:4- "But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'""
a. this verse comes out of great human need ... such need as can cause one to "forget" God.
2. Matthew 17:5- "While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!""
A lot of us forget GOD. One of God's most requirement from us is our attention and trust me HE knows how to get it in Proverbs 1:7 it says The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction, now fearing God is a positive rather than a negative thing; fearing God is good because it saves us from caving into our own sinful nature. So today lets all develop a God fearing heart and turn our attention to what He wants and build that relationship with HIM He so desires!!!

A Prayer for Sunday
Lord, today is special.
It’s your day.
Help me to worship you in a worthy way.
Help me to keep you in view,
to meditate on your word,
to hear your voice.
Lead me into the week
assured that you are with me,

I WILL LIFT UP MY EYES TO THE HILLS!!!
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

WHY SHOULD WE READ THE BIBLE PART 3
The Ten Commandments
Don't you think it's about time you learned what the 10 Commandments are all about?
Sadly, most people know little about the Ten Commandments. Few people can name more than three or four of them.
Those who take the time to study the commandments find they're not a list of "Do nots," but are in fact God's guide to the good life—a life full of blessings. That's why the Bible calls them "the royal law" and "the law of liberty."
There's much more to these commandments than meets the eye. They're not just God's way of preventing us from having a good time.
The commandments are designed to protect us, our families and our communities. They're a guide to transforming the way we think, what we do and how we live. They truly are ten keys to a successful and happy life!
Every commandment of God is for our good. This is because the commandments define the love that is the foundation for all godly relationships.
...Jesus spoke clearly and to the point. God’s law has not been abolished, and, according to Christ’s own words, anyone who teaches so is directly contradicting Him and is in serious spiritual trouble.
It is important that we believe what Jesus and His apostles said about their own view of the commandments of God. Once that is clear to us, then the reasonings of men cannot deter us from respecting and obeying those commandments from the heart.

PRAYER GIVING THANKS
Prayer of Thanksgiving
God of all blessings,
source of all life,
giver of all grace:
Thank you for the gift of life:
for the breath
that sustains life,
for the food of this earth
that nurtures life,
for the love of family and friends
without which there would be no life.
Thank you for the mystery of creation:
for the beauty
that the eye can see,
for the joy
that the ear may hear,
for the unknown
that we cannot behold filling the universe with wonder,
for the expanse of space
that draws us beyond the definitions of our selves.
Thank you for setting us in communities:
for families
who nurture our becoming,
for friends
who love us by choice,
for companions at work,
who share our burdens and daily tasks,
for strangers
who welcome us into their midst,
for people from other lands
who call us to grow in understanding,
for children
who lighten our moments with delight,
for the unborn,
who offer us hope for the future.
Thank you for this day:
for life
and one more day to love,
for opportunity
and one more day to work for justice and peace,
for neighbors
and one more person to love
and by whom be loved,
for your grace
and one more experience of your presence,
for your promise:
to be with us,
to be our God,
and to give salvation.
For these, and all blessings,
I give you thanks, eternal, loving God,
through Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Why should we read The BIBLE pt 2.
Another reason: God's Word Is A Medicine
You can take God's Word as a medicine with no danger of taking an overdose.
You do not have to buy it. It is free.
Whatever sickness or disease you are suffering from, God's Word can cure it. It is effective for any condition.
If satisfactory results are not obtained right away, double the dosage.
Like any medicine, God's Word has to be taken to be effective. It will not work sitting on the shelf. And it has to be taken according to the directions.
If you will follow God's directions as faithfully as you would follow the directions of a human doctor, you will see wonderful results.
Here are the directions:
PROVERBS 4:20-23
20 My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart;
22 For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.
23 Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.
In verse 22 the Hebrew word translated health is translated as medicine in some translations.
PSALM 107:20
20 He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
God's Word will heal. It is full of God's power and carries the authority of God who spoke it.
God's Word will not return to God void, but will produce what He sent it to do.
JOHN 8:31-32
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
32 "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
You have the guarantee of Jesus -- His Word will produce freedom.
But, you must abide, or continue in His Word. You must feed it in until you know that you know that you know the truth. Then you will act on that Truth -- and it will make you free.
God's medicine works by taking His Word into your being. You do that by listening to the Word, reading the Word, and speaking the Word.
Filling your thoughts with the Word of God more than anything else is the key. The more of God's medicine you take, the better off you will be!

WHY READ THE BIBLE?
REMEMBER NOW ITS ONLY 3 CHAPTERS PER DAY & AS YOU EAT FOOD FOR THE BODY ITS EVEN BETTER WHEN YOU EAT FOOD FOR YOUR SOUL SO EAT IT UP OK
DAY 3
MANY ASKS WHY SHOULD I READ THE BIBLE?
MANY HAVE ALOT OF EXCUSES:
"I'm a busy person with a lot to do. Why should I spend time reading the Bible? I don't have time to do all I need to do as it is."
"I already believe in Jesus Christ. I've already heard the Gospel."
"Why should I read the Bible?"
And they go on & on & on trying to find reasons not to read the most precious book of all!!!
NOW HERE ARE A FEW SCRIPTURES THAT WILL ANSWER THAT QUESTION:
JOHN 8:31-32
31 Jesus then said to the Jews who had believed in him, "If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples,
32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
JOSHUA 1:8
8 Don't stop reading this book of the Law, but day and night think of what it says, so you can be careful to do everything written in it; then you will prosper and succeed.
ROMANS 15:4
4 And the Scriptures were written to teach and encourage us by giving us hope.
2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right.
17 It is God's way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do.
HEBREWS 4:12
12 For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are.
God's Word is alive! The more you expose yourself to it, the more it will expose itself to you.
To know God better you must spend time hearing what He has to say. The Bible is His message to you. If you want Him to listen to what you have to say, you should also listen to what He has to say.lo
Although God can also speak directly to your heart, you need to know His written Word so you can judge whether God is speaking to you, or the enemy is trying to deceive you.
God will not love you more because you read the Bible. It's for your benefit -- not required to make God love you. However, without reading the Bible, you will not grow spiritually, and you will be more easily deceived.

Psalms 119:11 - Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
MAKE IT A HABBIT TO READ YOUR BIBLE
DAY 2
Simply reading the Bible is not studying it. The Bible is one of the most misinterpreted books ever written, and most people find it to be very hard to understand where at times it is & that depends on you mindset to receive and hear from God. The goal to studying the Bible is to understand the content in the original languages. If you don't know where to start reading in your Bible, how often to read your Bible or how much to read at a time or how to get things out of it, that's where I come in I want to help you with that.
Here below is a perfect way oh how to reading your Bible:
First thing you need to do is plan your study time where you're going to set aside a perfect time and place to read & study your Bible daily
Be sure to have a good study Bible. Choose a translation to use during your study
When ever going to read the Bible be prayerful ask The Lord to open your mind to receive His word giving you wisdom knowledge understanding so The Holy Spirit will minister to you Study. This should be the first step in understanding the Bible
Whenever you read your Bible please read it 2 or 3 times to get a good understanding of the topic, context, and characters. Read 3 chapters per day, meditate on what you have read until you literally hear God ministering to you until the Bible comes alive to you.
When reading the Bible you should do the following
Remember first thing to do is get rid of all distractions. Turn off the television or radio. Unless you're studying with a group, try to to find a quiet place where you have a table to read and take notes. This is alone time between you and God.
Make sure you have a dictionary that you can look up words in the chapter that you are reading from. This will help you understand the Bible better.
Have a Bible notebook. This will keep you accountable to reading everyday. Also, ask yourself questions and write them down in your Bible notebook. Use the "who", "what", "when", "where", "why", and "how" formula for your studies. For instance, "Who was there?", "What was happening?", "Where is this happening?", "How did it turn out?". This simple formula will make the story make sense.
Always have a highlighter so you can Highlight the important stuff or things you really like in your own bible so you're actually bonding becoming personal with your Bible.
Use cross references and footnotes if you have them in your Bible. These are little numbers and symbols which tell you to look somewhere else in the text for more information, or show you when something was previously discussed. Footnotes, usually found at the bottom of a given page, will tell you where information is coming from or explain complex ideas or historical events and concepts.
Follow the references in your Study Bible back to the first time it was used. This is where a chain reference Bible is essential.
Keep a journal. You don't have to write a lot. Just use a notebook page with the date, book / chapter / verse on the top. Ask yourself some questions and outline what you are reading. This helps to show you what God is revealing to you through His Word. Write out ideas or verses or thoughts that come into mind as you read. Think "Who, What, When, Where, How." Answer every possible question under each category. Then look them over and pray about it.

Dear Lord I pray today that I will yield my spirit completely to You, that You may use me as You please. I pray that You will provide me opportunities to show people how much You mean to me. Give me discretion to know what to say and how to say it. Make me bold enough, that I may proclaim salvation cheerfully and joyfully. I pray that the seeds You allow me to plant will grow and mature. I pray that You, Father, will water the seeds that You allow me to plant today. I am forever grateful for the cross; may I proclaim it in a contagious way today. Amen.
“Do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself
or what you should say,
for the Holy Spirit will teach you
in that very hour what you ought to say.”

TIME
We won't find time to spend with God, we have to make time. Have you ever noticed how we can always find time to do the things we really want to do—the things that are important to us? We find time to read the newspaper. We find time to watch television. We find time to exercise or play sports. We find time to eat and sleep time to make money and do countless other things. But, if our goal is to know God, we must make time to spend with Him. If it's not our top priority, it won't happen. Set aside a specific time each day to spend with the Lord. Make it part of your daily routine. If necessary, write it in your calendar or daily planner. However you do it, make certain you "JUST DO IT!"

A DAILY MORNING PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank You for this day.
I thank You for my being able to awake once again, to see, and to hear this morning.
I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God.
You have done so much for me and You continue to bless me.
Please forgive me every day for anything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to You, and I ask now for Your forgiveness.
Please keep me safe from all danger and harm.
Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.
Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.
Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.
Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over.
Let me continue to see sin through Your eyes and acknowledge it as evil.
And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive Your forgiveness.
And when this world closes in on me, let me remember the example of Jesus -- to slip away and find a quiet place to pray.
It is the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits.
Continue to use me to do Your will.
Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others.
Keep me strong that I may help the weak.
Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.
I pray for those who are lost and can't find their way.
I pray for those who are misjudged and misunderstood.
I pray for those who don't know You intimately.
I pray for those who don't believe, and I thank you that You are in my heart and that I do believe and have true faith in You.
I believe that You change people and You can change all things.
I pray for all my sisters and brothers, and for each and every family member in their households.
I pray for peace, love, and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.
I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than You.
Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.
I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly.
This is my prayer... and I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, Amen

FIRST THINGS FIRST
GET YOUR PRIORITIES RIGHT -First Things FIRST (GOD)
In Deuteronomy 8:7 the very first commandment given is that Thou shalt have none other gods before me; but yet still many of us can't even get that first commandment right, we sin daily putting things before God, situations, people etc. There are so many things that demand our attention and devotion: our jobs, our kids, our spouses, our hobbies & the demands and distractions of life. And we have to be careful not to let them become more important or more of a priority than our relationship with God. HE HAS BEEN REPLACED BY SO MUCH even by our thoughts, worry, money our time & what are we doing about it? What do YOU intend on doing bout it?
You might not know this or maybe you do but when one refuses to honor God and follow His wisdom in their decisions, it causes them to become weary worrisome, resentment and & full of bitterness which eventually shows up as sickness and disease in their bodies. Don't let the enemy trick you anything you worship or put an excessive amount of time into becomes your god. Even your feelings can become a god if you allow them to control you. But fortunately for us we don’t have to continue living that way In Christ, we can enjoy our live abundantly! The key to having God's 'abundant life' is keeping Him in His rightful place in our priorities. PUT GOD FIRST IN EVERYTHING YOU DO. Life is somewhat simple to live it all boils down to the choices we make daily & we have the BIBLE to guide us;
Another great scripture is Matt 6:33 where it says "SEEK ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” If your first priority is God, the rest of your life will be aligned. There's AMAZING POWER in having your priorities right & to be truthful most people live a troublesome life simply because they fail to put first things first, they fail to place JESUS where HE belongs & that's at the VERY FIRST!!!
What Have you substituted for seeking God?
What have you allowed to be your first priority other than God & is it worth it worth to you & what do you plan to do about it?
Nobody is perfect and so if you have placed anything before GOD don't be discouraged and let it hold you back; confess it and continue & move on to being a better you a more GOD FOCUSED YOU. God will give you grace to do what you need to do. One day at a time you and God together can do anything
HE DIED FOR US LET'S LIVE FOR HIM
Heavenly Father I worship YOU I praise YOU I magnify YOUR Holy Name This morning there's none greater than YOU & so I shall forever stay in YOUR Presence for there's none better than The Shekinah Presence of ALMIGHTY GOD.
